The Lions Of Serengeti
Our guide, Emmanuel, squinted into the sun and asked, 'So, how many lions do you want to see today?' It was our first day in the immense Serengeti wilderness. We'd have been happy to just soak in the stillness and listen to the soft whispers of a constant breeze weaving through the vast expanse of grassland, punctuated at regular intervals by cheerful birdsong. But when one is smack bang in the middle of lion country, it’s hard to miss the big cats.
